holidays

Spain here I come …. I will be off for a couple of weeks visiting Barcelona and Granada and getting a lot of inspirations for more projects. I also will meet my Mum there and on getting back home I will post a new project (free to download) to stitch, in time for Christmas.

Cheers

Pecking order

With spring in full bloom, summer just around the corner and those gorgeous new fabrics from Chez Moi it was to irresistible not  to make a quilt.

I am lucky to have five chickens and I love to observe their comportment, especially if you give them cooked spaghettis, good stress relief.

Hope you will enjoy  making your own chooks as much as I have.

Cheers.

Hope you will enjoy it and don’t forget to send me a mail with the pictures of your finished wall hanging

Bonjour à toutes et tous !

I have a small request to all of you who have made the quilt … could you send me some pictures I would love to see your versions.

Thanks a lot and happy sewing

Albertine

Let me introduce “Albertine”,inspired by French boutis( whole cloth completely reversible originated from Provence)

I was given some repro fabrics ( lucky for me it was “bright”), contemplated the pack for a while and found it would be perfect for a south of France inspired quilt.

Like in so many quilts women used a lot of symbols in boutis, such as flowers, birds, vases … . This one is inspired from some small quilts given to babies. The chosen motifs were to wish the newborn health, joy, patience and all good things you would like to wish for a child.

This one would be more for a girl than a boy, lots of flowers and pinks, but I have already picked the pattern and the fabrics for the boy’s quilt.

You can buy the pattern through “Needles and Pins” in Warrandyte.

Ningaloo Reef

Ningaloo Reef

Here is a little  bit of the wonders of the World. Crazy patch is the perfect match for a coral reef. You can add as much as you want, go crazy with the beads, the different threads, the sequins, make it really shinny. Make it your own….
