Flocon de Neige is a fun and bright quilt to do. Big blocks makes the needle turn appliqué easier, if you are a not quite beginner, and very adaptable to machine appliqué if it is your preferred method.
This pattern does look amazing in any style of fabrics or even a mix of fabric’s style on one block.
The vine border just frames it beautifully and by dipping into the quilt centre it adds something special.
The border of Flocons de Neige has been done in a way it would be adaptable for a quilt with more than nine blocks.
The original version is from Julie Silber antique collection. I first saw it at the Texas Quilt Museum and fell in love with it. It is a blue and white quilt with smaller blocks and lots more circles on the vine border.
