This pattern is a mariage between two antique quilts, one King George’s coverlet (1803-05) and a French boutis wedding quilt “vase de fleurs” from the same period.
A lovely quilt with 12 different circles, all hand pieced. And a beautiful centre medallion in appliqué.
Not a small project but once completed you will have an heirloom piece.
