The Ch0ok quilt

The ChOok quilt is a quilt with a smile. Cheeky chooks and fancy flowers, a fence to keep the chooks off the flower beds and a pond. The inspiration is straight from my own garden and chooks.  The chicken are dancing around a pond amongst the flowers . And you need a fence to keep the girls from digging the rest of the flower beds.

It is an ideal project  to try your hand at different techniques such as hand piecing, machine piecing, some English paper piecing (EPP) and lots of appliqué, even reverse appliqué.

The ChOok quilt is a perfect project for using scrappy bits of fabrics or fussy cutting, especially for the head of the girls. And as for the flowery border your imagination is the limit, you can create your own fancy flowers.

And a very interesting border too…..  it is up to you to make it as wide as you want.

This pattern would make an ideal project for a quilter who would like to explore different techniques. Or just to have fun and play with your fabrics.

It is quite a large project that will keep you busy for a little bit !
