Vases de Fleurs

Vases de Fleurs ( vases of flowers) has two different patterns, one traditional design with fabrics and the second design with felt. But it is up to you to make them using only fabrics or only felt.

The first pattern is an introduction to needle turn appliqué,  some reverse appliqué, fussy cutting and a little bit of embroidery. It is a great pattern to go very scrappy or to use a whole range of fabrics.

The second vase is done using only felt but you could do part of it using fabrics, like the vase or some of the flowers. The border would look great using prairie points.

Both Vases de Fleurs will feature nicely in a larger quilt amongst pieced blocks. And being  a small project it is not daunting.

Both vases are inspired by antique Dutch tiles.
